-
It depends on the service.
For private driving lessons:
Yes, you or your student will need a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license.
This allows you or your student to legally practice driving on the road.
For Driver Education:
You do not need a permit to start Driver Education and do the behind-the-wheel sessions with A360 Driving School.
A permit is needed before behind-the-wheel driving outside of A360 Driving School sessions.
-
Maybe.
Mississippi’s new Driver Education requirement begins July 1, 2027.
If your student can get their license before July 1, 2027, they will not need Driver Education by law.
If your student gets their license on or after July 1, 2027, Driver Education will be required.
Because every student’s situation is different, we may need to know:
Your student’s age
Whether your student has a permit
The date the permit was issued
When your student may be eligible for a license
-
Maybe.
If your student already has a permit, we need to look at the timeline.
Your student may not need Driver Education by law if they can:
Hold the permit for the required time
Become eligible for a license
Get licensed before July 1, 2027
Your student may still need Driver Education if:
They are applying for a hardship license
They will not get licensed before July 1, 2027
You want the full Driver Education program
You want to ask your insurance company about a possible discount
Private driving lessons may be the better option if your student only needs practice.
-
It’s completely up to you.
Every driving lesson includes free pick-up and drop-off within our service area.
That means we come to you. Most students start and end their lesson at home, but some students start from school, work, or another approved location.
As long as the pick-up and drop-off locations are within the A360 service area, we’re happy to work with what is most convenient for you.
-
Yes.
Your student does not have to finish the online course before scheduling driving sessions.
However, we recommend that your student complete most or all of the online course before the first driving session.
This helps your student feel more prepared and confident behind the wheel.
-
No.
Driver Education completion is not automatic.
A360 will teach and support your student during each lesson, but your student must show basic safe driving skills before completion can be processed.
Some students may need extra practice or extra lessons before completion.
Safety is always the priority.
-
